To commemorate the triumphant spirit of the African American journey, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation will host its third annual Juneteenth Sunrise Service at the majestic Compton Oak, a landmark tree symbolizing life, endurance, shelter, and joy. (Due to the inclement weather forecasted for Saturday and into Sunday, we will be moving the Juneteenth Sunrise Service to the Virginia Room in the Williamsburg Lodge.) Special keynote address by Dr. Daniel Black, award-winning novelist, professor, and public speaker. Free admission. Juneteenth Sunrise Service
